Skoda Elroq 2025: The Elroq is Skoda’s first model to feature its new Modern Solid design language. This could also be the Czech automaker’s second all-electric car in India after the launch of the Skoda Enyaq.
Overview: Skoda Elroq EV 2025
The Skoda Elroq is an upcoming compact all-electric SUV, positioned below the Enyaq iV, and is expected to be unveiled in autumn 2024.

It is set to be Skoda’s first electric vehicle (EV) in the compact SUV segment. The Elroq is scheduled for global debut in autumn 2024, with a European market launch in early 2025.
Although a specific launch date in India has not been confirmed yet, Skoda is reportedly considering bringing the Elroq to India.
Feature and Tech
“The Skoda Elroq is our first BEV model in the compact SUV segment, the fastest growing and most popular sub-segment in Europe.
The wide choice of battery sizes and excellent drag coefficient enables a range of over 560 kilometers.
- The standard equipment package is comprehensive, including many state-of-the-art assistance systems,” says Klaus Zellmer, Skoda CEO.
- Another important feature of the electric compact SUV is its practicality.
- The Elroq thus offers the longest range ever of any Skoda electric vehicle, yet will be available at an affordable price.
- That means in many markets it won’t cost more than its combustion-engine brother, the Elroq.
- In selected European markets, prices start around €33,000.
Design and Style
Like the larger Enyaq, the Elroq is based on the MEB platform and therefore benefits from using proven technology.
There will be three battery capacities (55, 63, and 82 kWh) and a total of four versions of the model.
Elroq 50 with the smallest battery and 125 kW electric motor, Elroq 60 with a medium capacity battery and 150 kW, and two versions with the largest battery.
The Elroq 85 will have rear-wheel drive like the smaller battery variants but deliver an output of 210 kW, with an all-wheel drive variant of the Elroq 85x arriving in 2025.
These most powerful versions boast a maximum range of over 560 kilometers per charge and a top speed of 180 km/h.
Other versions will top out at 160 km/h and have a range of over 400 km (Elroq 60) or 370 km (Elroq 50) on a single charge.
The charging capacity is also excellent, with a maximum of 175 kWh, so the version with the largest battery can be recharged from 10% to 80% capacity in just 28 minutes.
This time, their layout is horizontal, they always use LED technology (optionally advanced LED matrix), and have a modern, flat, almost two-dimensional look.
Engine and Performance
Inside, the Skoda Elroq has been given a minimalist look combined with sustainable materials. A wide range of interior finishes will be available.
The basic Studio trim level offers a design with an emphasis on black and fabric upholstery.
The Loft Edition features anthracite gray upholstery with moss green stitching and seats finished in a combination of leatherette and dark blue Recital fabric.
- Lodge uses Technophile material in combination with gray leatherette.
- It features attractive orange stitching and other orange details, including a safety belt.
- Technophile is a combination of 75% recycled ECONYL fibers and 25% polyester.
- The Ellroq will also be available in Sport line trim, which adds a distinctive interior design with carbon-look details in the lower chassis (15 mm at the front and 10 mm at the rear) and distinctive black exterior details.
- At the front, there are sports seats with integrated headrests, upholstery in suede material, and gray stitching.
- The luggage compartment can carry 470 liters of cargo (the most in the Ellroq class), and up to 1,580 liters of luggage with the seats folded.
Price and Variants
The Skoda Ellroq, a compact electric SUV, is expected to launch in India around December 2025 with a price range of ₹25-35 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be positioned below the Enyaq and is expected to be a premium offer.
